Act Three, Scene One

from Matt Barber Hussalonia by Hussalonia

about

I was beguiled by the sound of train brakes.
They howled my name and they called me to come away.
Once, I crawled out of bed and to the end of my street. I stood so close that it felt like it was running through me.

I think, and it becomes.
Cogito ergo sum.
Here we go.
Act three, scene one.

I got my first car when I was twenty years old.
I filled up the tank and decided to go north.
By 2 AM I was outside of Toronto.
I pulled into a field and screamed at the top of my lungs.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was a screwed up kid.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think I changed.
Yeah, I really did.
But sometimes I feel a slight tug on my arms when I see the V formations in the fall.
But, birds, you'll be back. You'll see, you can't stay away.
Still, I look down.

I think, and it becomes.
Cogito ergo sum.
Here we go.
Act three, scene one.
