summer villain The obvious benchmark for this is GBV's Suitcase series, and this may be sacrilege to some, but track-for-track I think this blows Suitcase out of the water. Suitcase has some rough diamonds in the dross, but Miscellonia has fully polished stones. "Invisible Hitchcock" is probably a better reference -- some rough stuff, sure, but plenty of fully realized, sometimes oddball, songs that might not have fit on the albums they were contemporaneous with. Favorite track: This Album Is Shit.

wally At least half of these songs are worth more than the 10 cents I paid for them. A select few of them have already accrued value to me that escapes quantification. Garbage or not, you can at least take these down to the recycling center to earn some coffee money. Favorite track: Microphonia (2014).

I saw you walk right off a page, where fact and figure intersect to make history. Letters and numbers in your hair, I find it difficult to be anything but earthquake. There’s nothing more dangerous or expensive as language. Everything I’ve learned is likely wrong, because I learned it from listening to love songs, where everyone is always flying and professing never-ending devotion. Eternal flames and mountains high, fools staring into each other’s eyes. Love me within reason, in measured intervals, a stable, low-burning flame, like normal. Save the histrionics, the fits of passion. Put down that torch and just love me like normal. Go on and keep your heart and soul, just keep me under control. Another weather system fail. It rains umbrellas and the trees grow with envy. Get thee behind me, forever! I’m not so clever now that I taste like sugar. Just love me within reason, in measured intervals, a stable, low-burning flame, like normal. Save the histrionics, the fits of passion. Put down that torch and just love me like normal.

about

The title pretty much says it all. I'm taking out the trash. Some of it may very well may be your treasure. Each track is only costing you a dime, so whatever.
