When the Hussalonia founder embarked upon the 2015 RPM Challenge (an annual event wherein participants write and record an album in the 28 days of February), there was no way he could have anticipated the ensuing drama. Nearly done with a 15-song album titled Dogdammit, with little over a week left in the month, The Founder started receiving threatening messages from Nefarico™, the soap company that purchased Hussalonia in 2011. The threatening messages indicated that Nefarico™ already had a soap product by the name of “Dogdammit” (a foaming soap) and refused to release the Hussalonia album of the same name — that is, unless The Founder delivered another album of Nefarico™ jingles. (A similar tactic was used in 2011, resulting in the Hussalonia album Nefarico™ Jingles.) Knowing better than to challenge the powerful megacorporation Nefarico™, The Founder did indeed record another album of jingles, and Nefarico™ dropped all the charges. However, much to everyone’s surprise, The Founder decided to keep the album Dogdammit shelved, citing that “every great career has a shelved album, and now I've got a great career.” For those who doubt the existence of Dogdammit, a montage of song snippets is provided in the introductory track of The Somewhat Surprising Return of Nefarico™ Jingles. Whether or not Dogdammit will ever be released remains unknown.
